Hannah Harper, Editor-in-Chief

Hannah is a third-year student at Mason and is pursuing the National Security Law & Policy concentration. She graduated from Michigan State University in December of 2016 with her B.A. in Political Science. She has lived in Florida, New York, Michigan, California, and Virginia. She loves the DMV area and considers this to be her home.

During her time in law school, she has worked as a Junior Policy Fellow for the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), as an intern for the Office of Justice for Victims of Overseas Terrorism (DOJ), and as a Research Assistant for three of her professors. During the Fall 2020 semester, pending clearance, she will be interning within the DOJ’s Counterterrorism Section. Additionally, Hannah has had an article published in National Defense Magazine and her student Comment will be published in an upcoming NSLJ Volume. She is also a contributing author on a collaborative cybersecurity paper and has another publication project underway. She thoroughly enjoys researching, writing, and editing. She is also a member of Mason’s Trial Advocacy Association. After graduation, Hannah hopes to pursue a career as a national security prosecutor.

In her free time, Hannah enjoys hiking, taking care of her plants, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.


Lauren Farrar, Executive Editor

Lauren Farrar is the Executive Editor for the National Security Law Journal. Before law school, Lauren graduated from Virginia Tech with degrees in Music Performance and Multimedia Journalism, and a minor in Political Science. Lauren attributes her interest in law, and her passion for national security, to her upbringing in an Air Force family. She has worked as an extern with the Air Force Commercial Litigation Field Support Center at Joint Base Andrews, and a summer law clerk with Rosetta Stone’s in-house team. In her spare time, Lauren writes music and performs live music at local restaurants.


Nicolas Morales, Managing Editor

Nicolas is a third-year law student at Antonin Scalia Law School and the Managing Editor of the National Security Law Journal. Nicolas graduated from Boston College with B.A. in Biology with a minor in History. While in law school, Nicolas has interned at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and is interested in constitutional and homeland-related aspects of national security law. Nicolas is originally from South Florida and enjoys the beach, traveling, and politics.


Jonathan Moeller, Senior Articles Editor

Jonathan Moeller is the Senior Articles Editor for the National Security Law Journal. Jonathan graduated from Hillsdale College with a B.A. in Politics. He served as a student advisor for the Mason Veterans and Servicemembers Legal Clinic (M-VETS) and is a member of George Mason’s Trial Advocacy Association. He also enjoyed the opportunity to join the National Security Institute for its study abroad program on national security and the separation of powers with Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch. Jonathan’s student Comment will be published online with an upcoming volume of the NSLJ. Jonathan is originally from Michigan and enjoys reading, running, and hiking.


Sarah Jo Willcockson, Articles Editor

Sarah-Johanna Willcockson is an Articles Editor. She is a 4E with a concentration in national security law and policy. She works in the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency’s Office of General Counsel. Ms. Willcockson was recently accepted to the Accessions process for the Army Office of the Judge Advocate General and was named a finalist for the Presidential Management Fellowship. Her student comment on the Vulnerabilities Equities Process will be published in an upcoming NSLJ volume. In her free time, she enjoys running, crossfit, and spending time with friends and family. Ms. Willcockson is originally from Montana but has grown to adore the DMV area and its hustle and bustle. 


John Wilson, Articles Selection Editor

John is a 3L with a concentration in national security law and policy. He is particularly interested in the areas of election security and operational law. John was a research assistant at George Mason University’s National Security Institute in Arlington, Virginia. He also had the opportunity to participate in NSI’s National Security & Separation of Powers study abroad program with Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch. John also anticipates serving as a JAG in one of the military branches.


Dilan Wickrema, Senior Notes Editor

Dilan Wickrema is a third-year evening student at George Mason University. Dilan graduated from George Mason University with a B.A. and M.A. prior to attending law school. After completing an M.A. Dilan was appointed as a Presidential Management Fellow to the U.S. Department of Commerce. Currently, Dilan works at the U.S. Department of State.


Dara Finley, Senior Research Editor

I am a 3L who is interested in the intersection between national security and human rights. I have previously worked with nonprofits that promote human rights in Bahrain and am currently working with a nonprofit focused on empowering Muslim women and educating them on their legal rights.

Allison Siegel, Notes Editor

Allison Siegel is a fourth year evening student. She studied history at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and spent several years traveling, volunteering, studying and working abroad after graduation. In 2014 she began working directly with international students and staff on immigration matters and with the school and government data systems used to meet federal requirements at VCU and subsequently Johns Hopkins University. For the past three years she has worked as an analyst at the Department of Homeland Security through a small contracting firm, focusing primarily on the federal immigration regulations for students.


Kevin Bell, Notes Editor

Kevin is an investigator for the Global Investigations Division at the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) at the U.S. Department of Treasury, where he manages international money laundering investigations in support of regulatory and law enforcement cases. Prior to joining FinCEN, Kevin worked in strategic communications for a small company in Kabul, Afghanistan. Before going to Kabul as a civilian, he served as an infantry platoon leader for 2 years in the 101st Airborne Division, where he led his platoon for a yearlong deployment in Afghanistan. Kevin has a Master’s degree in Near Eastern Studies from Princeton University.

Karolyn Watson, Associate Editor

Karolyn is a third-year law student at Antonin Scalia Law School. She graduated from the US Air Force Academy with a B.S. in Astronautical Engineering in 2013. After graduating, she served for five years in the Air Force as a Cyber Operations Officer before separating to attend law school. In her free time, Karolyn enjoys music, Legos, and spending time with her family.


Ryan Reynolds, Online Development Editor

Ryan Reynolds is a 3L at George Mason Antonin Scalia Law School. Prior to attending Scalia Law, Ryan attained his B.A. in Communication from the University of Maryland, College Park. Since attending law school, Ryan has had the opportunity to be a law clerk at Sher, Cummings & Ellis; a research assistant for both Professor Ross Davies and the Center for the Protection of Intellectual Property; and a judicial intern at the Arlington Circuit Court. After law school, Ryan intends to specialize in criminal and civil litigation. In his spare time, Ryan likes to read, write, and spend time with his friends and family.


Gage Dabin, External Affairs Editor

Gage is currently a 3L at George Mason and serves as the External Affairs Editor. Gage was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and as a military brat he has lived all around the country and is planning on becoming a JAG officer. He attended Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport, Louisiana where he graduated with degrees in English and Political Science with an emphasis on international relations.

Gage worked at the Pentagon in the DoD’s Office of General Counsel – International Affairs division, and during his 1L summer was a judicial intern for Cheif Judge Nancy J. Rosenstengel of the Southern District of Illinois. Gage spent his 2L summer at Barksdale AFB in Shreveport, Louisiana working with USAF JAG on military justice actions, national security issues, and civil matters. For his 3L year,  Gage was selected as the President of the Military Law Society for the 2020-2021 academic year. His legal interests include: international, constitutional, and criminal law. In his free time, Gage likes to run, read, and practice French.


Noah Teixeira, Symposium Editor

Noah Teixeira is the Symposium Editor for the National Security Law Journal with a B.S. in Economics from the University of Nevada, Reno. Noah served as the President of his undergraduate institution and after graduation went on to work at the Nevada Legislature. He currently works for the Financial Services Concentration at George Mason as the Webinar Coordinator. Noah enjoys long runs, in depth podcasts, and golf. 


Christina Stange, Member

Christina Stange is a third year evening student at Scalia Law. She works full time as a Law Clerk for the Institute for Defense Analyses, a Federally Funded Research and Development Center whose primary sponsor is the Department of Defense. She became interested in National Security Law and Policy while studying Political Science and Criminal Justice at the University of South Florida. While at Scalia Law, she helped found the Mason Intelligence and National Security Law Association and served as Treasurer for two years.
